At the National Library of Uzbekistan was held round table on the topic of “Preventing ideological threats associated with mass culture, missionary activity, religious extremist flows”

At the National Library of Uzbekistan was held round table on the topic of “Preventing ideological threats associated with mass culture, missionary activity, religious extremist flows” on 6th of April 2016. It was attended by representatives of the religious administration of Muslims of Uzbekistan, Scientific-practical center of national idea and ideology, teachers and students, and library users.

The purpose of the event is to reveal the true essence of Islamic religion, to inform the participants of the round table with religious groups and activities that threaten the stability of the entire global community, to encourage them to fight for completely eradicating from society, the peoples of the world of this disease of terrorism, which is the plague of our century, and to acquaint the youth with the life and work of our great ancestors, with their rich spiritual cultural heritage.

 

In the beginning of the event was shown a documentary film "Akromiy-broken trail" (Akromiya – poyoniga yetagan yo’l"), which focuses on those who have blindly strayed from the right path, admitted his mistake, repented and returned to his family and friends.

The round table was spoken by the chief specialist of the Scientific-practical center of national idea and ideology Irgash Daminov, rector of Tashkent Islamic University Haidarkhan Yuldashbaev, responsible for publishing house “Movarounnahr” Ilkhom Marupov, Phys. N., associate Professor at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek Muzaffar Artikov, senior lecturer National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek Abduholik Talanov. Speakers at the event talked about the emergence of extremist organizations, their purposes and destructive intentions, their subversive actions and activities carried out under the mask of Islam, missionary activity in the region of Central Asia, the process of "Islamization" among young people, about religious-extremist movements and on the notion of "mass culture". Also, the round table was said about the threat of social networks, cyber-terrorism, about the harmful impact properties of computer games and their negative impact on the spiritual development of young people.
The participants of the event encouraged the youth being involved in the activities of society and intellectual development, thereby contributing to the preservation of peace in the country and the world, which will lead to the prosperity and development of our Motherland.

 The roundtable participants gave questions interested them to representatives of different organizations and received substantial answers.
